Pimples, cuts & other unmentionables

Tonight I was itching to get my camera out and play in the backyard with my 18 month old son.  We just finished our messy dinner of stuffed peppers (eaten with his hands of course) and with my mommy goggles on we stomped out to the backyard to play.  Of course my son was having none of this picture taking business and turned his back to me everytime I raised my camera.  After about half an hour of play time we went in and I loaded the photo's on to my computer and took a quick peak!  There was so much food on my son's face and clothes I'm not sure any of it actually made it to his stomach!  Being in a rush to enjoy the sun before it set for the night I guess I didn't noticed.
I know this is often a worry on photo sessions.  Kids get runny noses, pimples always pop up on our faces the night before our family session, or our sweet newborns scratch themselves the morning of their big picture day!  I always tell parents not to stress about those things because they are all very minor things that can be changed.
Here is the before and after picture from tonight of my son.  This was pretty extensive retouching, but note the small bruise on his forehead from a fall earlier in the week.  My little reminder for 10 years down the road when I forget what a monkey he was!!
